Icelandirect, a subsidiary of New Heritage Capital, has acquired Soma Labs, a New Jersey-based supplement manufacturer specializing in solid dosage form production. The transaction closed in February.

The acquisition will expand what Icelandirect can produce for its clients in the human nutrition and pet supplement markets.

These new offerings allow us to take a brand from ingredient and formula all the way through to finished, shelf-ready product — in more formats, at greater scale, and with the quality standards our customers have come to expect from Icelandirect.”

The new capabilities include:

• Powders: custom blending and filling for both the human and pet markets with flexible packaging formats, from stick packs to bulk pouches
• Capsules: hard-shell capsule production for human and pet formulations, supporting fill types including powders, beadlets, and oils
• Tablets: compressed tablet production with precision dosing for human nutraceutical and wellness brands
• Human and Pet Chewables: chewable tablets for the human and pet supplements markets, offering brands a palatable, functional, and convenient alternative to traditional capsules and tablets

Soma Labs will operate as an integrated division of Icelandirect, with its New Jersey facility remaining fully operational. Its leadership and technical teams are integrating into Icelandirect’s organization to ensure alignment across quality systems, supply chain operations, and customer service functions. Existing Soma Labs customers will have access to Icelandirect’s capabilities and resources.
